Akçalar was founded by Mr. Mehmet Akça, in 1963 in Balikesir. In 1969, the first sawmill started operations. In 1989, a second sawmill was opened. Until 2000, the Company supplied softwoods and hardwoods to local market, and in 2000, a new mill was opened to produce edge glued panels, door jambs, door frames and window and door profiles.
The Company currently operates in 30000 sqm open space, with 7000 m2 closed factory space.
We Export 60% of our production.
The Company is owned by Akca family and has an important market share on edge glued panels, door jambs and door frames.
